Introduction

Basil is a fragrant and useful plant from the mint family and is found in two types, green and purple. This plant is used in all parts of the world and of course in Iran as a seasoning in cooking. Dried basil has a warm and dry taste and can be used to neutralize the coldness of many Iranian dishes, all kinds of salads, yogurt and cucumbers.
